What is Aji Amarillo? Aji Amarillo chillies are grown in South America and are a staple of Peruvian cooking. They are said to have a “sunny” flavour, which we absolutely love! Their bright yellow colour reflects their delicious fruity flavour, which has notes of mango and pineapple. They have a mellow heat, and when combined with the freshness of yellow peppers, make a fresh tasting, highly addictive chilli jam!
This chilli jam is a great addition to a cheeseboard, but if you’re making pizza, we recommend trying it with ham and pineapple, for a twist on a Hawaiian (yes, we’re in the pineapple on pizza camp…).
